Apple Drops Prices on Macs in India

These are good times for Apple fans in India.
The company recently launched the iPad 2 in India, just weeks after it became available in the US, and there are strong indications that iPhone 4 could arrive as early as this month.
Unlike the previous iPhone models that were tied to the operator, BGR says that Apple will possibly launch “factory unlocked” iPhone 4 in India meaning the phone should work with the SIM card of any cellular operator and not just Airtel or Vodafone.
In the last two days, Apple has silently dropped the prices of their Mac desktops and the Mac Mini by as much as 15%. The iMac range has been upgraded with Quad-Core Intel Core i5 processors - see technical specs on apple.co.in - and is now less expensive as well.
The prices of the Macbook range of notebooks however remains unchanged. Here’s a quick chart comparing the current price of Mac Mini and iMac desktops with the older models. The prices are inclusive of all taxes.

Mac Mini 44,900 37,900
iMac 21.5" 74,900 64,900
iMac 27" 1,05,900 91,900
